German - Japanese Youthleader Exchange 2006

13th - 27th of September 2006

# Day 13, 25th of September 2006

<< >> Photos Day 13

Todays single topic is the Tokio Gakugei University. At this University Shindoh-san was taught to be a teacher. We start really early to experience the rush hour at Shinjuku. It is crowded, but not as much as we had hoped. This nearly exploding, overloaded, packed like sardines in a can, trains drive only city-directed.

At university we listen to an introductory lecture about games an playing, held by a designer. Die hall is dark, the slides only japanese .. the sleep is german. Sorry for that.
The task of today comes clear nevertheless: play design. Wir get divided into groups and are told to develop new games together with some japanese students.
For a start-up we go to the cafeteria to have lunch. After that we start playing. It's so great to have so much time to exchange our experiences and to have fun. Three hours and about 30 games later the groups have chosen the best games for presentation. Let me just say that the director was really shocked about the coin game, but it was big fun anyway. After we gave our presents to the officials and the students and our invitiation to come to our Sayonara-Party on the next day we had to go back to the NYC.

Back at NYC we have an effective group meeting to prepare the journey discussion tomorrow. Only one hour later we finish and start the comfortable part of the evening.
To celebrate the end of our japan experience we go to a nice restaurant. Then we take some funny group pictures and let the day end in a karaoke box.
