<< >> Photos Day 2

The second day starts in the plane. Wefve already switched our watches on Japanese time. At 9:30 a.m. we arrive Tokyo nearly on time. Wefre passing the immigration and customs without difficulties. Also our baggage arrives safely.
Shindo-san, Tomo-san, Etsuko-san and Keiko-san, the officials from the NYC and our interpreters, pick us up at the Terminal. After that wefre placing our luggage in the arriving hall and following Tomo-san to buy phonecards. This is the first time, as we realize to be in Japan. *yipie*

After a short shoppingtour, having some chai-tea which tasted like fish, wefre having our first lunch in Japan. We enjoyed our first misu-soup, sushi and jellyfish. Itfs very delicious and so tasty.

After the lunch we take the bus to Tokyo. This is the time where we catch first impressions of this huge and crowded city. After arriving at the NYC we get a short introduction into the program and we also get to know the Event Hall. This place will be our central meeting point for the next two weeks.
Our rooms are located on the 7th and 8th floor of building D. These single rooms have an awesome view on the skyline of Tokyo city. Unfortunately therefs not much time to relax. At 6 p.m. we meet for our Welcome-dinner. This will be our first test to be punctual. The NYC serves a delicious meal and Japanese beer. We have to introduce ourselves in Japanese and Sascha makes his first speech. At 7:30 p.m. we experience our first Japanese party final. We have to clap into our hands and this signals that all officials can go home. Because of the jetlag we donft go on partying so long at this evening. After the dinner we just train for a short time our surprise program and afterwards we have to pack all presents.

At 11 p.m. no one of us is still awake. We go to sleep and dream about Japanc
