13th - 27th of September 2006
On the third day we mostly listen to reports. In the morning we listen to a report about the current situation of the Japanese teenagers and honorary post in Japan. Professor Mr. Ikeda gives an interesting and short-wave lecture to this topic. After all he asks if terrorists are working honorary. This question is provocative and we start to discuss about this question quite long.
After having lunch in the NYC Mr. Shindo gives us a short introduction into the organization of the NIYE (National Institution for Youth Education) and NYC (National Olympics Memorial Youth Center).
Later on he guides us through the area of NYC and takes us to the Meji-Shrine. There we bless the goddess and make a wish for our group.
At 6:30 p.m. we all meet at the Event Hall. Again we listen to many speeches and than we get to know the Japanese Delegation. They will go to Germany in December this year. This is the official start of our discussion weekend.
Our surprise program is the song '99 red balloons' and a dance so called the dance of the ducks. Our audience is very amused about our performance.
Once again it's time for the Japanese party final. Afterwards all Japanese and German delegation members go to the city hall of Tokyo. From the 45th floor we enjoy the breathtaking view on Tokyo at night.
On our way back we take the subway. Unfortunately it's not so packed as we expected.
