# Day 6, 18th of September 2006

<< >> Photos Day 6

It's time to leave Tokyo and let's go to the prefecture Gunma. At 8 a.m. we start our journey. First stop is Nikko. A small town full of temples and shrines. But before we arrive at Nikko it's a long bus ride to take a nap and to get some rest from the last days. As we arrive in Nikko it rains.

But don't worry. Nikko is also nice, impressing and interesting to see with rain. All the temples are magnificent and gigantic. It's all packed by tourists. We also get a short tour through one of the temples. It must have been an interesting report, but unfortunately we didn't understand it. Our lunch break is in one of Nikko's tiny restaurants.

After that we go on to Akagi. In Akagi we stay for one night at the Akagi Youth Friendship Center. The welcome is warm and friendly. Everybody is waving us. We listen to an introduction and get some time to relax. This is the first time, where we will sleep on tatami and futon. Some students show us how to make the Japanese bed. Then we have our welcome ceremony. It looks like the same procedure as every time. Speeches - pictures - food - drinks and games - it's fun and we enjoy it to be there. And guess what happened next? Right, a traditional Japanese party closing.

That's the time for us to move over to a traditional Japanese room to go on partying till 11 p.m. Unfortunately we have to go to bed early tonight. But maybe it's not that bad, because the next day we're early birds.

Thanks again to the Akagi Youth Friendship Center team and the taken picture from all of us: Akagi Group-Picture
